The theatre has had many important music directors to date. Currently, Mikhail Tatarnikov is the music director. Previous directors include Dmitri Jurowski from 2015 to 2023, Ainars Rubikis from 2011 to 2015, and Teodor Currentzis from 2004 to 2010.
