About the Tour
A guided day trip by train to Ayutthaya, the former capital of Thailand. Includes a tuk-tuk ride among the temples, lunch at a local restaurant, and a break at Ayothaya Cafe.
The day begins with meeting your guide at Don Mueang Railway Station; you'll board the KIHA train and arrive in Ayutthaya after approximately a one-hour journey. The first stop is Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon, known for its rows of Buddha statues and tall chedi. After lunch at a local restaurant and a break at Ayothaya Cafe, you'll visit Wat Mahathat, one of Ayutthaya's oldest and most important temples. Then, you'll proceed to Wat Phra Si Sanphet, the most sacred structure in the former Royal Palace grounds, and Wat Chaiwatthanaram on the riverbank. Transportation between stops is by tuk-tuk; the return journey is again by KIHA train to Don Mueang.
